Critical Herald is a news and issues criticism blog where readers should expect well-argued analysis of international events. If that expectation isn’t met, I want readers to let me know, either by commenting on articles or writing me personally. My goal is to provide engaging content that encourages readers to think and reflect rather than react to the issues at hand.
I’m a freelance writer, editor, and author with a degree in Political Science & Western Culture and Civilization. Critical Herald is my avenue for political and social thought and opinion. I am an avid international news junkie, and therefore require a place to share my thoughts and frustrations.
I have many other interests, including short and long fiction, creative writing, poetry, the outdoors, sports, political debate, and a healthy dose of philosophy, critical thinking, and a belief in living well. Did I mention humour? I like to sprinkle it here and there. Life is short if you don’t know how to use it, and existence would be much shorter without laughter.
I’m a sucker for a good argument. How can anyone really understand their own opinions without first defending them against those who have a different perspective? Debate should be as respectful and honest as it is fierce. With that in mind, I welcome and encourage any and all comments.
